some thoughts.

i really want to plan an amazing vacation for nick and i to so-cal in april or may.
when it comes to planning vacations, i get obsessed with the details.
disneyland, the beach and sushi are all at the top of my list for this "epic" trip.

i also really want to vlog every day of this spring semester until i graduate college.
which would mean vlogging from 1/17-5/7.
i'm not sure i can do it with my hectic schedule... but i really want to try to capture the memories.

my winter class is over!
this means i have two entire days to do what i want (as well as get stuff together for spring classes).

my sleep schedule is completely off these days- which is awful since i have morning class 3x's a week!  i go to sleep a little after 1am and wake up around 11am if i don't have to work!
... just call me a bum, i don't mind.

tiny tower rules my life.
no really... both nick and i will laze around in bed "stocking" our businesses and ensuring our that our bitizens are happy.

Belly Button...

Belly button rings... navel piercings. Call it what you will.
Last night I was just wondering what the appropriate age is to take this particular piercing out.
Or is there a certain age?  Does it depend on the person?  Once you have a child?
I'm just not sure.
I suppose this would go for nose, lip, tongue and any other adornment not found on one's ears.

I got my piercing the day after I turned 18, and I am now 24.
I also had my nose pierced briefly at 19, but got over that quickly and took it out.

So, tell me what you think.

I've Been Tagged!

Sunday mornings are amazing!

Clair at The Upside Down Cupcake tagged me to complete the following... questionnaire (I'm not quite sure what it's called in blog world).  She is quite awesome, so you should go check her blog out if you have not already.

So, here we go...

Do you think you're hot?
I think I have the potential to be "hot" with a push up bra and eye makeup.  It's much better to be "pretty" instead, which I think I can sometimes be classified as.  I usually have an abundance of confidence which should not be mistaken as being stuck up/full of myself.

Upload a picture or wallpaper that you're using at the moment.

Yep, I love The Hunger Games and this has been my background for the past four months!

When was the last time you ate chicken meat?
It was probably last Sunday, because I'm not opposed to that sort of thing.  By the way- the chicken was in my macaroni and cheese from Yard House (they make it with cool spinny noodles, mushroom truffles, bacon, tons of cheeses and grilled chicken).

The song(s) you listened to recently.
I've actually been hitting iTunes up a lot recently in preparation for the trip.

and

are two of my current favorites.

What were you thinking as you did this?
  • How is it that I am still sneezing and blowing my nose constantly when I have been sick for 10 days already?  Ugh.
  • How am I going to survive for 5 weeks without my cats (oh and the boyfriend, of course)?
  • Coffee is so good.  Now I want some more... and cereal too.
  • I wish the laundry would do itself.

Do you have nicknames?  What are they?
Why yes, yes I do have nicknames.  Let's start with the ones I like.
Many of my friends call me "Gel" which I have grown fond of (hence my usual screen name: cupcakeGEL).
Sometimes my mom and brother call me that, but most of the time they call me "An'gel" (which should not be confused with "angel" because it is pronounced like the first part of my name, without the "ica").
My grandpa used to call me "Cupcake".
The boyfriend will often call me "Jennifer" or "Jen" not because it is related to my name in any way shape or form, but because my grandmother mispronounces my name and it sounds like "Angenica" so boyfriend thought it would be funny to create his own spin on it... sadly, I sometimes answer to this when he uses it.  Lol.  He also calls me, "Yes, Honey".  Never just "Honey" because he only uses it when I am annoyed or being inquisitive.  There's also a tone of voice that comes with that nickname.
Last of all is "Gelly".  I hate it when people call me that.  It makes me think of some fat kid with food all over their face.  Don't ask me why.

Top 8 Blogging Friends:

Since I'm still new-ish in the blogging world, I don't think that I have very many friends.  =[   I should work on that... let me do my best here at scrounging up a few names (let's use the word 'acquaintances' for some- not all).  If this were YouTube, it would be a different story because I have met SO many amazing friends on there.

Who is listed as No. 1?
Um- Clair.  Only cuz she is obviously super cool and I think we need to hang out again soon.  Probably when I get back from Korea.  Thrift shopping AND food this time! =]

Say something about No. 5.
You are amazing and I am so glad that I stumbled upon your blog awhile back!  I love pestering you for grad school advice.  I think we would make great friends (even if it can only be on the internet cuz I think you live really far away from me).

How did you get to know No. 3?
April is actually my BFF IRL!  =]  She currently lives in Japan and we have not seen each other since we were...13, I believe.  But, she will be just one state away from me in a few short months!

How about No. 4?
I believe it was via YouTube, on my old old channel.

Leave a message for No. 6.
We don't really know each other that well, but I do stalk you on Twitter and you have replied to me a few times... which is a success in my book!  Lol.

Leave a lovey dovey message for No. 2.
Vanessa,
I love your new glittery shoes.  They shine like...uh- the light in your eyes.
Love,
Angelica

Haha.

Do No. 7 and No. 8 have any similarities?
I have NO idea.

Well, that took me about an hour (probably because I did get up to go get my cereal).  If I tagged you, please feel free to do this on your own blog!

Sicky on Sunday.

I am seriously OVER being sick right now.

The past few days, I have been going about my normal business (while highly medicated) and trying to push forward so I can do everything I need and want to.  But, today I am defeated and will probably spend the entire day in bed with a box of tissues, tea and my laptop.  I'm not sure how I survived work the past few days and going out last night as well.  The poor boyfriend is also sick now and has to work all day.

Here are a few photos from last night (I'm missing a ton because they were taken on other people's cameras).

LOL. Mine and Danielle's wrists look extra cute!

We had dinner at Yardhouse where the boys consumed a lot of beer.  The girls consumed a beer each (I think) and then we went downtown to Insert Coin to play some video games.  Unfortunately, by this time my medication was wearing off so I was no longer chirpy because my nose was being a jerk.  My night ended with a shot of Nyquil and it was heavenly.  That is- until I woke up with a massive headache, sore throat, half stuffy half runny nose.

I would love some natural remedies right now.  At first I thought I had a bad bought of allergies since my sinuses were affected.  But, I'm now 100% sure it's a cold (you don't want to know how I identified this...).

Part II of 'How To Write A Ten Page Paper...' will be up soon if you're interested.  Until then...

P.S. 2 weeks and 1 day until Korea.

Lovely Day.

What a cloudy and windy day it is outside.  I really don't mind, except for the constant sneezing this weather brings.

Even if the weather is not fantastic, it does not mean that I (we) can't day dream about amazing things...

I would love to have a little reading corner like this some day!

What a pretty basket full of flowers!

Mmm... one of the best types of pizza I've ever eaten.

I plan on spending the rest of my afternoon doing some online shopping for my trip, playing The Sims Medieval (amazing game!), finishing a book and watching Harry Potter on TV.

What are your big plans for the rest of the Memorial Day weekend?
