Awkward and Awesome Thursday.4

Awkward:
- Sitting in the waiting room at my doctor's office, taking out my phone to play Tiny Tower and not realizing that my media volume was turned all the way up.  Helloooo Tiny Tower (and everyone else in the room staring at me).
- Getting an awful look from the waitress because I turned down her multiple attempts at giving me a to-go box for the remnants of my burger.
- Listening to a patient tell me a really short story and then having him thank me for listening to his "really long story".  Okay...?
- Creating my "Drive to School" playlist, and realizing that most of the songs are by Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, NSYNC and Katy Perry.  Just call me cultured!


Awesome:
-18 floors on my Tiny Tower in 5 days. Man, I'm lame.  But, it's SO fun.
- Reading the book "Other People's Love Letters".  It is seriously laughter and tears on paper.
- Date night... <3 (If you get the chance to watch the movie J. Edgar- you should go!)

Awkward and Awesome Thursday.3

I've literally been taking mental notes all week of what I wanted to put in this post....

Awkward:

• A father and teenaged daughter arguing in the waiting room at my work, while I have to sit there pretending like I'm really busy and can't hear every single word they're saying very loudly.  Said father begins to cry and walk outside to talk on his phone.  Yeah, that sure was awkward...
• Incessant coughing, sneezing, nose blowing no matter where I have been for the past week.  Ugh.  

Awesome:

• Figuring out how to use my old iPhone as an iPod successfully (believe me it's a bit complicated, but there are amazing directions online).
• Being told by a patient that I should be a model... way to stroke my ego (or they just wanted a discount?  still awesome, regardless).  
• Rediscovering my love of cream soda.  Yum!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday.2

Awkward:

• Walking into the public restroom at a restaurant in Oklahoma, seeing a mom and her daughter in there washing their hands and realizing it's a one person bathroom.  Totally their fault though since they did not lock the door!

• Sitting next to an older guy on the plane as he dozed off, snored and began to twitch in his sleep for the entire 2.5 hour flight. 

Awesome:

• Finding the cutest tank tops and t-shirts at WALMART for only $3.88 each!  Perfect for this summer.

• Having a yummy BBQ yesterday which included: Cucumber water, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, Ruffles and yellow lemon cake!

• Trying our luck at getting Blizzcon tickets and snatching up 4! =]
