Birchbox April 2011.
I FINALLY got my Birchbox in the mail today. Last month I received my box on the 11th (most boxes are set to ship on or before the 10th of the month). I was sure that my box got lost in the mail since it did not arrive sooner. So, I emailed the Birchbox team to see what was up. They promptly responded to my email and let me know that they had sent this months box via a different shipping company who would then pass the package on to USPS, hence the delay. I thought it was awesome that they got back to me so quickly, but I wish they had let all of the members know in advance that shipping would take longer (I noticed a ton of other girls on their FB fan page stating that they had not received their box and were wondering where it was at).
So, here is what I got in my box today. I've only opened the products, sniffed and read about them so far. But, since I did not post a video, I figured I'd just share what was in it.
Zhena's Gypsy Tea, Italian Chamomile: (full size $6.99)
I opened it and smelled it and if you're a fan of black licorice, this might be for you. I, on the other hand, am not. I think I'm going to bring it with me to Korea to give to the family I stay with because I hear certain teas are unavailable there.
LIV GRN, Natural Eau de Parfum (full size $60)
This stuff smells AMAZING. I was surprised to read the description which is "Lime, Neroli, and Orange Flower combine for the citrusy fresh top notes. Geranium, Rose, and Cyclamen comprise the middle notes and Jasmine, Egyptian Musk, and Pear round out the fragrance as the base notes." To me it smells like lime and cucumbers and I love it. The sample is way small though and since the product is only sold on the Birchbox website and the LIV GRN site for the steep price of $60, I'll probably just stick to my DKNY Be Delicious signature scent.
Suki, Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser (full price $29.95)
This smells yummy and I'm excited to use it tomorrow morning!
Weleda, Wild Rose Smoothing Facial Lotion (full price $28)
Cute packaging and I like the description of this product. It contains tons of antioxidants and is organic!
Zoya, Nail Polish in Dove (full price $8)
There were other colors that I wished I had gotten from this line because for me, gray is more of a winter color. But, I'm definitely willing to try it out. Along with this came little booklet with the rest of Zoya's colors. The polishes are also formaldehyde free which I think is awesome.
Last of all, Birchbox sent seed paper. Once you plant the paper it will grow into wildflowers with a little love and care. Nick and I are going to plant it this Friday.
